“The number-one thing that has made us successful, by far, is obsessive, compulsive focus on the customer, as opposed to obsession over the competitor.”
I’d argue that, clearly, Amazon has made an obsessive focus on the customer.
They’ve had to make so many inventory changes — and probably quite a few innovations — to do something like their Prime 2-day (or even same-day) delivery.
Most companies see the USPS shipping and think, “eh, good enough.”
Amazon put in work to make things better for the customers they serve.
The results speak for themselves.
It’s a good challenge for me. It pushes me to think about “how can I better serve my people?” The fun ideas come when price is no object. Of course, because time & money are obstacles, then the creativity comes in implementing great ideas without bankrupting my reserves.
It’s something I’m giving a lot of thought as I begin the process of delivering my course this week and opening up a Community for traders of said course.
To that end, the beta testing has gone well. There are many things I will have to upgrade in a “Version 2.0” course, but I believe what I have now is ready for a Founder’s Launch.
More on that tomorrow.
(sorry, but today is not quite the right time).
All right, on to the day’s headlines.

But the economic pain persists as the bill progresses, with thousands of flights cancelled.

Why it matters …
From the article …
“The bill would keep the government open until Jan. 30 of next year, fund some federal programs like the Agriculture and Veterans Affairs departments for the entire year, and put limits on Trump’s ability to fire federal workers for the next few months, among other provisions, if it is eventually signed into law.”
Pressure seems to be mounting on the Senators to become adults and do the job we are paying them to do even if they are not paying their staff members, military, Air-traffic Controllers, etc. Hopefully, we get a complete resolution to the shutdown this week.

Comments: Another green Monday start. There might be some good options out there to sell after last week’s pullback. I garnered a great deal of premium by rolling forward so I’m low on dry powder, but it’s not a bad place to be!
